Coach Bio

Michael has been coaching volleyball since 2013 and has had opportunities to coach at many different levels for both boys and girls. He has coached both competitive and recreation middle school teams and both the boys’ and girls’ freshmen teams at Perry High School. Currently he is the head varsity coaches at Arizona College Prep High School. Michael was not a college volleyball player…but he was a Division I college hockey player at Niagara University! During his freshman year, he and his team won their conference and earned an at-large bid to the national tournament, ultimately finishing eighth in the nation.
Over the years, Michael has come to love the game and challenge that is volleyball. He coaches because he enjoys working with players and teams to develop individual skills that promote stronger and more competitive teams.
Outside of volleyball, Michael is a teacher and has found a love for working with others and helping them grow as people. He also enjoys DIY projects and carpentry, cycling, Pickleball and other work-outs, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
